Spoonflower Silk

Exciting Update !!!
Sweet .... !!! Spoonflower have just announced a new Fabric option "Silk" : scheduled to be available from September 30.

I can't wait to order some (and deciding which pattern to order will be fun too ;) ... 
I'll be sure to post an update here on the blog, as soon as my first sample arrives :)
In the meantime .... here are some more of the details ...


Silk Crepe de Chine : 100% silk

  • 42" wide printable area (107 cm)
  • 2.9 oz per linear yard
  • Pure white, printed on one side
  • Appropriate for dresses, blouses, pajamas, lingerie, lining
  • Estimated shrinkage 3%.
  • Wash instructions: Dry clean
  • Launch date: September 30, 2010

Whooo hooo !!!!

Whoo hooo, I woke up early today, to see my Magnolia fabric design had placed 5th (out of 105 fabulous border fabric designs) in the Spoonflower Fabric of the Week contest : Thank-you sooooo much to all who voted :)

Springtime!



Hello Spring!
I photographed these pretty springtime blossoms today, while walking through the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney. I thought they looked so pretty blooming against a brilliant blue sky!
