Is it really the weekend ... ?
Is it just me, or did last week seem to fly by more quickly than usual?
Thanks for all the wonderful comments on my new "Rag Quilt"
I'm thinking my next sewing project could be a traditional square quilt (Yes I could be addicted to quilting already) / but I'm also loving this little: "Spring Look Bag" featured on the Wonderful: Sew, Mama, Sew Blog
...... and then there are the nieces to consider, who have now decided they would like rag quilts of their own ... lol
Above is one of my latest designs: China Blue
Featuring a subtle palette of Inky Blue and Natural Linens.
Displayed under the new "Kristopher K" Logo!
More on this exciting development soon ;)
Wishing you a wonderful and fun weekend.
Cheers Kris

Shabby Raggy Soft and Snugly: Rag Quilt
Yay!
Anyone who has ever made a Rag Quilt will probably understand, that I'm not exaggerating when I say
.... there is cotton from one end of my studio to the other ... lol
But WHAT FUN it was, making my very first Shabby, Raggy, Soft and Snugly Rag Quilt, from a mix of (Organic Cotton Sateen and Quilting Weight Cotton) fabrics featuring designs from my "Shabby Rose" Collection.
From Fabric to Quilt Above.
Many thanks to the:
'green apple orchard' blog

Night Owls Tweet - Week 1
I love to design late at night (or early in the morning, depending on your view of where 2am sits in the scheme of things ;)
Lost in a world of colour, pattern and design repeats, it's great tweeting with twitter friends who are wide awake on the other side of the world.
One night Shey B (from Arizona USA) tweets:
"Hey! I just got a SWEET idea! Wanna play?”
"lol - so long as it's SWEET" I reply ...
Several tweets later "Night Owls Tweet" was born:
Over the next 52 weeks, Shey B and I, will attempt to blog a total of 365 photos. Each posting ... 7 photos, from the last 7 days, (on alternate Monday Nights)
If a picture tells a thousand words - then this should be a fun way to get acquainted, while seeing, week to week, glimpses of the changing colours and seasons on opposite sides of the world :)
So without further ado, here is:
Night Owls Tweet : Week 1
#1 - Blue skies shining at me - nothing but blue skies do I see.
#2 - Lavender blooming on a cloudy day.
#3 - Wondering "Will I ever finish my new rag quilt?"
#4 - Sunlight dancing on the water.
#5 - Hey! It wouldn't be a Australia without a friendly spider or two - lol
#6 - Watching the world go by on another perfect Autumn day.
#7 - Distant view of The Gold Coast - Australia

Good Morning Sunshine
As winter approaches and the days (and nights) grow colder here on the Gold Coast Australia, it was lovely this morning to just relax, and enjoy the warmth of a lovely Autumn sun.
As waves danced and sparkled in the light and sea birds circled overhead, I felt a million miles away from the stresses and responsibilities of daily life ...
It's always so good to take 'time out' to relax, rest and rejuvenate ;)
ahhhh .... bliss :)
Now back to the equally fun business of fabrics and textiles
here are some of my latest 'hot of the press' designs
- more details soon ;)
And finally,
♡♡♡

Happy Mother's Day anyway - lol )
I'm looking forward to Breakfast in Bed ... a long Sunday drive .... and a late afternoon tea with my wonderful mum, who loves to remind me that many many many years ago, when I was just a babe, I made her a nice hot cup of tea for Mothers Day Breakie, with salt instead of sugar ... lol ~
Thank-you mum, for being the best mum ever ♡♡♡ Kris
